Fiocruz announces regional winners for 13th Health and Environment Olympiad

Fiocruz has announced the 42 regional highlights from the 13th Brazilian Health and Environment Olympiad (Obsma). These selected works will automatically advance to the national stage of the competition.

The award ceremony is scheduled for November 30 at the Fiocruz Manguinhos Campus in Rio de Janeiro. The regional winners represent various approaches to environmental, social, and health challenges through the perspectives of students.

The 13th edition of the Olympiad saw approximately 1,500 submissions involving 9,000 students and nearly 3,000 teachers from public and private schools across all Brazilian states. Submissions were categorized into audiovisual production, text production, and science projects.
