Fiodor Gagauz launches Gagauzia public consultation campaign

Politician Fiodor Gagauz has announced the launch of an information campaign titled ‘Vocea poporului găgăuz’ (Voice of the Gagauz People). The initiative will consist of public consultations held throughout the Gagauzia territory.

Gagauz stated that the goal is to engage in open dialogue with citizens regarding the current situation in Gagauzia, existing risks, and measures needed to protect the region's autonomy. He expressed concern that the autonomy has lost important competencies in recent years and that relations between Comrat and Chisinau have reached a de facto impasse.

The campaign aims to gather resident proposals and advocate for the preservation and development of Gagauzia as an integral part of the Republic of Moldova, seeking to restore legal dialogue between the autonomous region and the central government.
