Fiorano Modenese enhances urban surveillance with new camera systems

The Municipality of Fiorano Modenese has completed a project to enhance and modernize its urban video surveillance network. The initiative involved installing new high-resolution multi-optic cameras and upgrading existing systems to improve public safety and territorial control.

New multi-optic devices, capable of monitoring up to four directions simultaneously across a 360-degree field, were installed in strategic locations. These include a pedestrian path near the Aquilone nursery school and La Tana del Tasso nursery by XXV Aprile Park, as well as two units in Piazza Menotti near local businesses and the municipal technical offices.

In addition to new installations, the municipality replaced obsolete or malfunctioning equipment in Piazza Falcone e Borsellino, the corner of Via Malatesta, and the Roberto Vassallo courtyard. A specialized system was also implemented near the intersection of Piazza Menotti and Via Vittorio Veneto, featuring an 8 MP camera and a device equipped with automatic number plate recognition technology directed toward the city center exit.
