Fiorentina bids £34m-£40m for Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee
Fiorentina is actively pursuing Manchester United striker Joshua Zirkzee to bolster their squad following the club's centenary celebrations. Reports indicate that the Italian side has submitted a proposal worth approximately £34 million to £40 million. The deal is structured as an initial loan with a significant fee, potentially including an option or obligation to buy based on specific conditions.
Zirkzee, who has seen limited playing time under Michael Carrick at Manchester United, has reportedly reached an agreement on personal terms with Fiorentina and is open to returning to Serie A. While Fiorentina is considered a frontrunner, they face competition from Juventus and Atletico Madrid. Negotiations with Manchester United remain ongoing as the club seeks to recoup a substantial portion of their initial investment.
In tandem with the Zirkzee pursuit, Fiorentina is managing other squad changes, including the potential departure of Moise Kean to Como. Sporting director Fabio Paratici is also considering alternatives such as Beto from Everton should the Zirkzee deal fail to materialize.
