Fiorentina fires coach Vanoli and confirms youth chief Angeloni will remain

Fiorentina announced the dismissal of head coach Paolo Vanoli after a season that left the team winless and at the bottom of the Serie A table. Club president Giuseppe B. Commisso thanked Vanoli and his staff for their professionalism and for keeping the side in the top flight under difficult circumstances.

Separately, Valentino Angeloni, the club's youth sector director, denied media speculation linking him to a move to Roma. Angeloni reaffirmed his desire to stay in Florence and pledged to continue working with sporting director Fabio Paratici on the club's future development.
