Fiorentina keeps defender Luca Ranieri as coach Paolo Vanoli departs

Luca Ranieri, the 24‑year‑old defender, was linked with a move to Torino in January after the club offered €5 million, but Fiorentina asked roughly double and also proposed a player swap. No satisfactory offer arrived, his contract runs until 2028 and the club says he will stay unless a suitable bid is received.

Paolo Vanoli and his staff have been released after taking Fiorentina from the bottom of Serie A with no wins to safety.
