Fiorentina proposes €12 million for Sevilla defender Oso

Italian Serie A club Fiorentina is in advanced negotiations to sign 23‑year‑old Sevilla left‑back Joaquín Martínez Gauna, known as Oso. Reports indicate an offer of around €12 million, possibly including a future‑sell‑on percentage, could be finalised by the weekend or early next week.

Oso’s contract with Sevilla runs until 2027 and carries a €20 million release clause. While Sevilla has expressed a desire to retain him and extend his deal, the club faces pressure to sell rather than lose him on a free transfer. Fiorentina sees Oso as a potential replacement for departing left‑back Robin Gosens.

Other clubs, including Tottenham Hotspur, Real Sociedad and Strasbourg, have also shown interest, but Fiorentina appears to be the frontrunner in the bid.
