Fiorentina negotiates transfer of Bayer Leverkusen winger Ernest Poku

Fiorentina is in advanced negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen to sign Dutch winger Ernest Poku. The Italian club views the 22-year-old as a strategic addition to their offensive lineup, specifically to provide depth and tactical flexibility for manager Fabio Grosso.

Negotiations involve complex financial structures. One report suggests a deal involving an expensive loan of approximately 5-6 million euros with an obligation to buy set at around 15 million euros, totaling nearly 20 million euros. Another report indicates Leverkusen may demand a figure closer to 25 million euros.

Poku, who joined Leverkusen from AZ Alkmaar, has seen his market value rise following a productive season in the Bundesliga. Fiorentina is reportedly preparing a long-term contract for the player that could run until June 2031.
