Fiorentina has officially secured Argentine midfielder Franco Mastantuono on loan from Real Madrid for the 2026/2027 season. The move aims to provide the 18-year-old with increased playing time under the direction of Fabio Grosso.

Reports suggest the loan deal does not include an option for Fiorentina to make the transfer permanent, meaning Mastantuono is expected to return to Real Madrid at the end of the season. Real Madrid will reportedly continue to cover part of his wages. Upon his arrival in Florence, over 600 fans gathered at Peretola airport to welcome the former River Plate talent.
