Fiorentina submits final proposal for Stadio Franchi redevelopment

Fiorentina has submitted its final proposal for the redevelopment of the Stadio Franchi. While specific economic details remain confidential, reports suggest the club may have reduced its requested concession period from 90 years to between 55 and 60 years, while potentially increasing the annual rent to approximately 2 million euros.

The project involves an estimated 55 million euros for the second phase of works, with an additional 30 million euros potentially required for furnishings, skyboxes, and hospitality areas. The club is expected to maintain direct control over the construction process.

The Municipality of Florence must decide by October 12 whether to recognize the proposal as being in the public interest. To assist in this evaluation, the city is utilizing consultancy from the Politecnico di Milano and has allocated nearly 73,000 euros for legal and administrative support. This team will assist project manager Alessandro Dreoni in reviewing the proposal and preparing the tender process for the completion and management of the stadium. Work on the first phase of the project is currently scheduled for completion by May 2027.
