Fiorentina targets Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel amid transfer interest

Fiorentina is monitoring Lecce defender Tiago Gabriel as a potential reinforcement for the January transfer window. The 21-year-old Portuguese center-back, who stands nearly 1.95 meters tall, has attracted interest from Premier League clubs and AC Milan.

Lecce recently extended Gabriel's contract until June 2030, which may impact his market value. While his current valuation is approximately 15 million euros, Lecce may demand a higher fee. Gabriel has demonstrated significant presence in Serie A, notably scoring a header in a recent match against Fiorentina.

Singer Marco Masini commented on the club's current state, suggesting that while the squad is still in a developmental phase, the January window should be used to add experienced players, particularly in midfield, to complement the technical quality of the current roster.
