Fiorentina targets Mauro Icardi for potential Serie A return

Fiorentina is considering a move for Argentine striker Mauro Icardi as a potential reinforcement for their offensive lineup. Icardi, who recently finished a successful tenure with Galatasaray, is currently a free agent and has expressed interest in returning to Serie A.

The potential transfer is contingent upon Fiorentina selling Moise Kean. Reports indicate that Como is interested in Kean and may present an offer close to 40 million euros, which would provide the Tuscan club with the necessary funds to pursue Icardi.

While other clubs like Lazio and Real Betis have been mentioned in connection with Icardi, reports suggest that negotiations with Lazio never materialized. Fiorentina's interest is reportedly supported by sporting director Fabio Paratici, who has previously attempted to sign the striker during his time at Juventus.
