FIPAV celebrates 80 years of Italian volleyball

The Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV) is celebrating its 80th anniversary through several commemorative initiatives. The State Mint (Zecca dello Stato) has released a 32 mm silver medal to mark the milestone and honor the national teams' 2025 world titles. The medal features the official federation logo and the years 1946–2026 on one side, while the reverse uses color printing to depict the trophies won by the men's and women's national teams.

Additionally, the docufilm ‘80 YEARS – FIPAV ANNIVERSARY’ was recently premiered at the Cinema Raffaello in Modena. The film chronicles eight decades of Italian volleyball history through testimonies from key figures in the sport. The premiere was attended by FIPAV President Giuseppe Manfredi, former president Carlo Magri, and senior women's national team coach Julio Velasco, among other prominent volleyball personalities.
