FIRA launches Sustenta+ and Comercializa+ agricultural programs in Ahome
The Fideicomisos Instituidos en Relación con la Agricultura (FIRA) has launched two new programs, Sustenta+ and Comercializa+, in Los Mochis, Ahome. These initiatives are designed to support the productive sector during the 2026/2027 autumn-winter agricultural cycle.
According to FIRA Director General Jesús Alan Elizondo Flores, the programs address producer-identified needs, focusing on immediate challenges such as profitability and marketing, as well as long-term goals like soil conservation and sustainable farming practices.
Ramón Gallegos Araiza, representing the Sinaloa Secretary of Agriculture and Livestock, emphasized the importance of the programs for the Sinaloan countryside. He noted the necessity for efficient production, responsible water use, cost reduction, and improved harvest commercialization to maintain the region's competitiveness in food production.
