Fira Mediterrània de Manresa concludes 29th edition with record professional attendance

The 29th edition of the Fira Mediterrània de Manresa has concluded with a record 1,262 accredited professionals, a figure that slightly exceeds the previous year. The festival featured 85 shows, 60% of which were premieres, and maintained a 92% completion rate of its scheduled programming despite rainfall.

Attendance for paid performances averaged 82.63%, with 20 sessions selling out completely. The event drew professionals from 24 different countries. A key component of the festival included professional networking, where over 90 programming managers engaged in more than 250 interactions with artists, distributors, and managers.

This year's theme focused on popular culture and cultural rights. Highlights included an opening performance by singer Sandra Monfort honoring Valencian popular culture, a tribute to Pau Casals titled ‘Pau’, and a musical collaboration between Judit Neddermann and Trio Fortuny. The festival also included educational outreach through the Firaescoles program, which hosted 1,202 students from twelve different educational centers.
