Fira Mediterrània de Manresa focuses on cultural participation
The 29th Fira Mediterrània de Manresa will focus on active participation in popular culture, encouraging attendees to sing, dance, and play music. The official artistic program includes 85 proposals, with 60% being premieres and 27% supported by the ‘Obrador de raíz’.
To promote engagement, the event will utilize several key locations: the Taverna Cervesa Guineu will serve as a meeting point for participatory initiatives, the Plaça Neus Català i Pallejà will host activities related to traditional culture associations, and the Plaça Sant Domènec will feature major outdoor concerts.
The festival also aims to showcase ‘root arts’ by highlighting young creators and established artists who use tradition as a creative engine. This year’s international focus will feature new creations inspired by tradition originating from Flanders.
