Lleida hosts Fira MOS Sant Miquel to promote local agro-alimentary products
The second edition of the Fira MOS Sant Miquel in Lleida has opened, featuring approximately 70 exhibitors focused on local and proximity products. The event aims to consolidate a new format designed to connect producers, professionals, and consumers within the agro-alimentary sector.
During the inauguration, Joan Talarn, president of the Diputació de Lleida, emphasized the region's potential to lead the agro-alimentary sector in Catalonia and Southern Europe. He also announced upcoming aid in October to support the opening of agroboutiques and multi-service stores to bring the ‘Gust de Lleida’ brand to rural areas lacking commercial services.
Additionally, the Consorci del Segrià Sud (CSS) has announced it will take over the management of the ‘Al poble hi ha de tot’ project. This initiative, which participated in the fair, aims to strengthen rural commerce by creating a stable network between local producers and commercial establishments, facilitating access to high-value local products.
