Fire departments in Mérida and Santiago mark milestones

In Mérida, Venezuela, Governor Arnaldo Sánchez announced a comprehensive equipment and supply package for the state's fire department. The initiative includes the distribution of 1,200 uniforms to active personnel and the integration of new firefighters graduated from the Universidad Nacional Experimental de la Seguridad (UNES).

Additional support includes vehicle equipment, structural roof rehabilitation materials for the main headquarters, 858 liters of specialized lubricants, 46 tires for the emergency fleet, and various spare parts. The governor also noted the recovery of over 40 motorcycles to enhance immediate response capabilities.

In Santiago, Chile, the Ninth Company of the Santiago Fire Department (CBS) celebrated the 30th anniversary of the “Raúl Olivares Agar” Youth Brigade. The ceremony, attended by CBS Superintendent Álvaro Lara Alba and other institutional authorities, honored the founders and instructors who have shaped generations of young volunteers through discipline and service.

During the event, commemorative awards were presented to key figures, including founding director Alexander Tupper Manen and founding captain Miguel Ángel Núñez Otero, recognizing their roles in the brigade's three-decade history.
