Fire Engulfs Agri Star Meat & Poultry Plant in Postville, Iowa

A major blaze broke out in the early hours of Tuesday at the Agri Star Meat & Poultry processing plant in Postville, Iowa. Thick black smoke rose from the facility, prompting a multi‑agency response that included fire departments from across northeast Iowa, the Allamakee County Sheriff's Office, and the Fayette County Emergency Management Agency, which issued a smoke advisory for neighboring communities.
