Police investigate shootings in Hamburg and assault in Bielefeld
Police in Germany are investigating multiple violent incidents involving firearms. In Hamburg, two separate shootings occurred within a few hours. The first took place in the Schnelsen district, where a man was shot in the leg following a dispute. A second shooting occurred later in the Steilshoop district at the Fritz-Flinte-Ring, where a 23-year-old man was shot in the thigh during a dispute involving several men. In the latter case, police launched a large-scale manhunt for two suspects using helicopters and significant personnel.
In Bielefeld, a 21-year-old suspect was arrested following a violent altercation at the train station. Reports indicate that a group of individuals assaulted a 34-year-old man; when the victim attempted to flee, the suspect allegedly fired a shot, missing the man and hitting a taxi door. The suspect was apprehended near the scene, and a warrant has been issued for attempted manslaughter and dangerous bodily harm.
