Fire incidents reported in Erzurum and Bursa

Two separate fire incidents occurred in Turkey, involving an industrial site in Erzurum and an abandoned building in Bursa.

In the Yakutiye district of Erzurum, a fire broke out at a workplace within an industrial site around 21:00. Local citizens noticed heavy smoke and alerted emergency services. Erzurum Metropolitan Municipality firefighters responded to the scene, managing to contain the flames and prevent the fire from spreading to adjacent shops. Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the blaze, and cooling efforts were conducted to prevent reignition.

In the Mudanya district of Bursa, a fire broke out in an abandoned building in the Güzelyalı Burgaz neighborhood. It is alleged that individuals entered the fenced-off structure by breaking through wire barriers and started a fire. Firefighters controlled the flames before they could spread to surrounding areas. Local residents expressed concern, claiming the abandoned building has become a gathering point for substance users and calling for permanent measures to secure the site.
