Fire outbreaks reported in Kumasi and Spintex, Ghana

Multiple fire incidents have been reported in Ghana, affecting different regions. In Kumasi, a fire broke out at a three-storey building in the Afia Kobi Electoral Area of Manhyia South. The top floor of the structure was heavily impacted, and the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) deployed three engines to manage the blaze. The cause of the fire and the total extent of the damage remain unknown, though no casualties were immediately reported.

In the Greater Accra Region, a fire at Frimpomaa Estate in Spintex destroyed approximately 27 wooden structures. The blaze was reported around 07:30 local time and was brought under control by 09:22. Firefighters successfully prevented the flames from spreading to a nearby church, a storey building, and other structures. The GNFS has urged residents to maintain firefighting equipment, such as extinguishers and detectors, and to keep emergency contact numbers readily available.
