Fire services in Ciudad Real and Seville announce organizational updates

The Firefighting and Rescue Service Consortium (SCIS) of Ciudad Real has approved a 24.5 million euro budget for 2027, representing a 3.9% increase over the current year. The budget aims to strengthen the workforce by adding 36 firefighters and several unit and station chiefs through ongoing selection processes. It also includes a 4.5% salary increase and funds for worker welfare.

Infrastructure and equipment upgrades are central to the Ciudad Real plan, with allocations for a new fire station in the city, the acquisition of an aerial ladder truck, two rescue vans, and a specialized vehicle.

In Seville, the Provincial Fire Prevention, Extinction, and Rescue Consortium (CPEIS) has appointed Rafael Pérez García as its new manager. Pérez, a former Civil Guard official with extensive experience in emergency management and public security, succeeds the retiring Armando Gutiérrez. The appointment comes alongside the approval of a new job position relationship (RPT) and budget staff modifications as part of the consortium's modernization plan.
