Fire Station Construction Resumes in Padre Las Casas, Chile

The construction of a new fire station in the rural sector of Padre Las Casas, Chile, had been halted since late last year after the satisfactory recommendation (RS) from the Ministry of Development Social expired, stopping the project funded by the regional government.

Regional presidential delegate Francisco Ljubetic opened talks with fire corps superintendent Alfredo Lasalle to find a solution. They discussed using a Type 3 design already built in Villarrica, which meets current regulations and would avoid a costly redesign that could delay the project by two to three years.

The plan aims to improve emergency response for more than 7,000 residents. Coordination is ongoing among the Regional Presidential Delegation, the Ministry of Development Social and Family, the MOP Architecture Directorate, and SUBDERE to obtain the technical approval needed to move forward.
