Nigerian Afrobeats artist Fireboy DML is evolving his musical style through his latest single, ‘IMALI’, and his upcoming album, ‘ZUKO’. The track ‘IMALI’ features a collaboration with South African producers JAZZWORLD and Thukutela, blending Afrobeats with South African 3-Step rhythms.

Fireboy DML stated that ‘IMALI’ explores themes of ambition, personal freedom, and building a lasting legacy beyond financial wealth. The song was developed organically in Los Angeles, where the artist connected with the rhythmic energy provided by the South African producers.

In addition to his new collaborative work, the artist’s track ‘C’est La Vie’ explores themes of vulnerability and heartbreak, utilizing smooth rhythms to convey the emotional complexities of love and betrayal.
