Emergency services conduct training and rescue competitions across Poland

Various emergency services and rescue organizations across Poland and the Czech Republic are conducting training exercises and competitive events to test readiness and skills.

In Warsaw, firefighters participated in the VIII Polish Stair Running Championships, climbing 30 floors of the Palace of Culture and Science in full gear. Similarly, teams from Jabłonna and Chotomów competed in high-intensity stair-climbing events. Other regional competitions included firefighter sports contests in Dobra, Gnojnik, Lelis, Żerków, and Krzanowice, the latter involving participants from both Poland and the Czech Republic.

Training and educational initiatives are also underway. Youth rescue competitions were held in Golina, Stefanów, and Gdańsk, focusing on first aid and medical triage. In Obiszów, a joint exercise involving the military, firefighters, and medics was organized to improve inter-agency coordination. Additionally, a meeting for volunteer fire service chroniclers took place at Kalisz University to discuss the preservation of fire service history. In Gdynia, large-scale drills involving the military and rescue services were scheduled to test civil defense procedures.
