Firefighters in Hungary rescue trapped horse and kitten

In Páty, Hungary, firefighters and specialized teams successfully rescued a horse after the bed of a truck collapsed during transport. The animal's leg became trapped in the improperly constructed vehicle bed, leaving it unable to free itself.

To ensure a safe rescue and prevent injury to both the animal and the responders, a veterinarian from Szentendre arrived to sedate the horse. Following sedation, heavy machinery and firefighters worked together to lift the animal. Although the horse suffered significant blood loss, its condition appeared encouraging following immediate medical attention. Firefighters remained with the animal for approximately one hour to support it as it regained its strength to stand.

In a separate incident in Mezőtúr, firefighters rescued a kitten that had become stuck inside a metal pipe at a construction site. The kitten was brought to the station, where it was safely extracted using water to assist the process and was subsequently taken in by one of the firefighters.
