Firefighters respond to house fire in southwest Rochester

Firefighters in Rochester, Minnesota, responded to a house fire on Wednesday afternoon in the 2200 block of Hill Place Southwest. The blaze was reported around 2:35 p.m. in a neighborhood located west of Highway 52 and St. Marys Hospital.

Upon arrival, crews observed smoke coming from the rear roof area of the residence. An aerial ladder truck was deployed to assist in the effort. A search of the home confirmed that no one was inside at the time of the fire, and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation, and the total cost of the damage has not yet been determined.
