Firefighters respond to multiple incidents in Cádiz province
Multiple fire incidents were reported in the province of Cádiz, Spain. In Chiclana de la Frontera, firefighters responded to a vehicle fire on the A-390 highway at kilometer 8. High winds caused sparks to ignite adjacent grass, prompting a rapid intervention by four firefighters using two vehicles and 3,000 liters of water to prevent the fire from spreading to the surrounding vegetation.
In a separate incident in the Caulina area, a serious fire prompted a large-scale emergency response involving 17 firefighters from Jerez, Cádiz, El Puerto de Santa María, and Sanlúcar. Due to strong wind gusts, there were significant concerns that the flames could reach nearby homes, a gas station, and local businesses. As a precaution, residents and customers at two restaurants were evacuated. The operation included local police, national police, the Civil Guard, and Infoca. The fire was brought under control by late evening, with crews remaining on-site to cool the perimeter.
