Fireflies.ai launches Fireflies Talk dictation for Mac and Windows

Fireflies.ai has launched ‘Fireflies Talk’, a new voice dictation feature integrated into its desktop applications for Mac and Windows. The tool allows users to convert spoken words into formatted text directly within any active text field, including email clients, Slack, documents, and CRM platforms.

The feature is designed to remove filler words and false starts while automatically formatting text to suit the context of the application being used. For example, it can generate @mentions in Slack or format text appropriately for an email. It supports over 90 languages and is available to all users, including those on the company’s free plan, as it is bundled into existing subscription tiers.

CEO Krish Ramineni stated that the expansion aims to move the platform beyond meeting note-taking and into a broader role as an AI teammate for daily workflows. To address privacy, the company noted that it does not retain audio recordings and stores dictation transcripts locally.
