Firefly Aerospace revenue surges 659% to record $117.7 million

Firefly Aerospace reported record-breaking revenue of $117.7 million for the second quarter of 2026, representing a 659% increase compared to the same period last year and a 45.5% increase from the previous quarter.

Growth was driven by several major contracts, including a $1.44 billion award from NASA under the Commercial Lunar Payload Services (CLPS) program to execute the sixth lunar mission using the Blue Ghost lander. Additionally, the company secured a $75 million subcontract from the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) for the MoonFall mission and a $13 million contract for NASA’s SkyFall mission.

In the defense sector, Firefly’s subsidiary, SciTec, obtained a $94 million contract from the U.S. Space Force for a ground-based radar digitization project. The company also secured various contracts with the Air Force Research Laboratory and was included in a $981 million U.S. Space Force IDIQ contract.

To bolster technical capabilities, Firefly acquired Space-ng, an AI visual navigation company, and announced a partnership with NVIDIA to implement AI-driven lunar imaging services. The company also extended a multi-mission launch agreement with Lockheed Martin, potentially covering up to 25 Alpha rocket launches through 2031.
