Firefox and Samsung Browser Private Browsing Features Compared

Firefox’s private browsing window prevents local storage of history, tracking cookies and form data, and clears the cache when the window is closed. The mode does not conceal the user’s IP address or protect against malware, so a VPN is required for true anonymity. Firefox also offers strict tracking protection and the option to disable telemetry.

Samsung Browser’s “secret mode” similarly stops history and cookies from being saved, but it does not make the user invisible to the internet; the ISP, apps, and Samsung can still see activity. The mode can be secured with a password or fingerprint, includes an aggressive tracker blocker, allows screenshots, and can remain active even after the app is closed.
