FireHydrant releases Google Calendar integration and Liquid templating updates

FireHydrant has launched a new Google Calendar integration designed to streamline incident management. The integration introduces a 'Create Google Calendar Event' runbook step, which allows users to create events and associated meetings that include AI-powered meeting transcription. This transcription data feeds into AI-generated summaries and retrospective answers.

Additionally, the integration facilitates easier scheduling of retrospectives. A new button on the Command Center page allows users to schedule a retrospective, which pre-fills Google Calendar event details with incident links and a guest list of responders. The scheduled date and time are also displayed within the FireHydrant interface.

Separately, FireHydrant has updated its labeling system to support Liquid templating. This allows users to access service and functionality labels via code for use in Jira field mapping, team paging, and email communications.
