Firenze Books 2026 opens at Ippodromo del Visarno

The 2026 edition of Firenze Books has officially opened at the Ippodromo del Visarno in Florence. The cultural festival, which runs until Sunday, October 11, is organized by Confartigianato Imprese Firenze in collaboration with Libreria Malaparte, with support from the Municipality of Florence and the Florence Chamber of Commerce.

Under the theme ‘Giorni Migliori’ (Better Days), this year’s event focuses on the memory and work of author Marjane Satrapi. The program includes various panels and presentations, such as the ‘Dialoghi Urbani’ institutional panel and a special tribute to the late Florentine writer Francesco Recami.

Scheduled activities feature a diverse range of topics, including graphic novels, civil memory, and literature for children. Featured authors and speakers include Caterina Guagni, discussing the ‘Angeli del fango’, as well as Antonio Manzini, Marco Malvaldi, and several others participating in discussions regarding contemporary publishing and storytelling.
