Fires destroy commercial properties in Guriri and Arapiraca
Two separate fires occurred on Wednesday in Brazil, resulting in significant property damage.
In Guriri, a fire completely destroyed the Mãe & Filha pastry trailer near Vinicius Mileri square. The owner, Clécia Pedro de Souza, reported a total loss of equipment, including freezers, ovens, and furniture, noting that the business was her family's sole source of income. A campaign has been launched to assist the family.
In Arapiraca, a large fire destroyed two floors of a commercial building on Rua São Paulo in the Alto do Cruzeiro neighborhood. The establishment, which functioned as a fish market and appliance repair shop, was severely damaged. The fire reportedly began in a welding cylinder. One female employee sustained minor burns and was treated at a local health unit. Firefighters managed to prevent the flames from spreading to neighboring residences.
