Fires reported at schools in Argentina and Chile

Two separate incidents involving fires at educational institutions were reported in Argentina and Chile.

In Feliciano, Argentina, a fire broke out at Escuela Nº 43 ‘Presbítero Gabriel Villón’. The blaze originated in a computer CPU within the principal's office, damaging furniture and documentation. A neighbor alerted the police after noticing smoke, and volunteer firefighters from San José de Feliciano arrived to control the flames using extinguishers. No injuries were reported, and authorities are investigating the cause.

In Santiago, Chile, masked individuals caused disturbances at the Liceo de Aplicación. The incidents included setting fire to a trash container and a bathroom using unidentified fire-carrying objects. While staff managed to extinguish the flames with extinguishers, classes were suspended and students were evacuated. The Servicio Local de Educación Pública (SLEP) Santiago Centro announced it will pursue legal action against those responsible for the damage and disorder.
