Fires reported in Casablanca market and Fayoum bakery

Two separate fire incidents occurred in Morocco and Egypt. In Casablanca, Morocco, a fire broke out in the early hours of Monday at the Al Massira Market in the Hay Al Fallah district. Preliminary reports indicate that the flames spread to approximately 30 commercial shops. Civil protection teams were deployed to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to the surrounding area. While significant material damage has been reported, no human injuries have been recorded thus far. The cause of the fire remains unknown.

In Fayoum, Egypt, a massive fire erupted in Sanhur village following a gas cylinder explosion inside a bakery. The fire spread to an adjacent building, destroying a Syrian restaurant, a physiotherapy clinic, and a mobile phone shop. The incident resulted in eight injuries: five people suffered from smoke inhalation and three sustained second-degree burns. All victims were transported to the Fayoum General Hospital. Security forces have cordoned off the area as authorities investigate the cause and assess the total extent of the property damage.
