Fires reported in Treviso and Rome causing local disruptions

Two separate fire incidents have been reported in Italy, causing localized disruptions.

In Treviso, a Contarina waste collection truck caught fire on Via Fonderia. According to Contarina General Manager Michele Rasera, the blaze was triggered by numerous incorrectly disposed spray cans within the waste load. Firefighters managed to contain the flames before they could consume the entire vehicle.

In Rome, a vegetation fire near the Magliana Viaduct has caused significant traffic issues in the southwest quadrant of the city. The fire affected brush and reeds near the access ramps to the Fiumicino airport highway. As a safety precaution due to visibility concerns, the Magliana Bridge was closed at Via Isacco Newton, leading to the diversion of five Atac bus lines.
