Firoozgar Hospital seeks 1,100 billion rials from insurers

Ali Arash Anoushirvani, head of Firoozgar Hospital and an adult oncology specialist, announced that the facility is seeking 1,100 billion Iranian rials from insurance providers.

Operating since 1963, the hospital currently maintains 635 beds with a 95 percent occupancy rate, including 166 intensive care beds and 45 emergency beds. The hospital has seen a 39 percent increase in patient visits compared to last year, recording over 15,000 clinic visits in June alone.

As a major center for gastroenterology, the hospital performs approximately 1,400 endoscopies and colonoscopies monthly. In the past year, the facility has completed 59 liver transplants, 41 bone marrow transplants, and 20 kidney transplants, and it also accepts international patients for liver and kidney procedures. The hospital serves as a teaching institution with 155 academic professors and 627 nursing professionals.
