The dating show ‘First Dates’ has been awarded the 2026 Joan Ramón Mainat Award at the FesTVal television festival in Vitoria-Gasteiz. The recognition celebrates the program’s ten-year trajectory in consolidating access prime time for Mediaset España, specifically on the Cuatro network.

Hosted by Carlos Sobera and produced by Warner Bros. ITVP España, the show is the Spanish adaptation of a British format. It has become a significant audience phenomenon and a reflection of social diversity, featuring individuals of various ages, origins, and identities. Since its debut in April 2016, the franchise has expanded to include spin-offs such as ‘First Dates Crucero’, ‘First Dates Café’, and ‘First Dates Hotel’.

In addition to the program, producer César Benítez and journalist Pepa Bueno will also receive the Joan Ramón Mainat Award in 2026.
