First Lady Gueta Chapo visits Ananias Nuvunga to provide medical aid

Mozambican First Lady Gueta Selemane Chapo visited the Nuvunga family in Maputo to provide support to Ananias Nuvunga, a 70-year-old man who has struggled with heart problems and hypertension for approximately ten years.

The visit was prompted by an emotional appeal on social media regarding the urgent need for a new medical device, as the equipment Nuvunga was using had reached the end of its useful life. The required machine is valued at approximately 265,000 meticais.

In addition to mobilizing partners to fund the acquisition of the medical equipment, the First Lady provided the family with a basic necessity basket containing food and hygiene products. She also pledged future assistance, including the planned rehabilitation of the family residence.
