FIS has integrated Spade’s real-time transaction enrichment technology into its debit processing platform. This integration aims to provide debit issuing clients with more precise merchant data at the transaction level.

By matching transactions to recognizable merchant identities, the technology ensures that cardholder statements display clearer merchant names. This is intended to reduce unnecessary transaction disputes, improve authorization decisions, and provide a more transparent payment experience for consumers.

The enriched data is expected to assist financial institutions in three primary areas: enhancing transaction transparency for cardholders, improving authorization rates through better intelligence, and powering more accurate analytics and AI-driven personalized experiences.
