FIS rolls out Digital One Commercial platform in APAC banking

Financial technology firm FIS has launched its Digital One Commercial platform across the Asia‑Pacific (APAC) region. The solution is a core‑agnostic, composable system that lets banks serve all business‑customer segments on a single platform without replacing existing core banking systems. It offers API‑first integration with accounting and ERP tools, real‑time multi‑rail payments, and native support for multiple languages (English, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Bahasa Indonesia, Vietnamese) and currencies.

For APAC, the platform includes local payment schemes such as PayNow, GIRO, FAST and SWIFT/ISO. Peter Boyer, co‑president of Banking Solutions at FIS, said the region’s commercial banking landscape is “among the most complex in the world” and that the launch aims to unite fragmented operations and unlock growth. The rollout follows earlier deployments in the United States and the Europe‑Middle East‑Africa (EMEA) markets and comes as FIS reports continued revenue growth in its Banking Solutions business.

The launch also coincides with FIS’s broader AI initiatives, including a partnership with Anthropic to develop financial‑crimes AI agents, underscoring the company’s push toward modern, integrated banking technology.
