Fiserv faces legal action and analyst downgrades
Fiserv is facing increased pressure ahead of its third-quarter 2026 earnings report, scheduled for November 3. Several analysis firms have lowered their price targets for the payment services provider due to cautious revenue estimates for the second half of the year and for fiscal year 2027. Cantor Fitzgerald reduced its price target from $53 to $48, while Citigroup lowered its target from $57 to $53, both maintaining neutral ratings.
In addition to analyst downgrades, Fiserv is dealing with legal challenges. On October 8, Antwerp Exchange Bank filed a lawsuit against Fiserv Inc. and Fiserv Solutions LLC. The bank alleges misrepresentations regarding system security, inadequate protection of customer information, and significant fees associated with leaving the platform. The company is also facing a shareholder lawsuit.
