Fiserv launches white-label digital asset platform
Fiserv has officially launched its white-label Digital Asset Platform, providing financial institutions with the infrastructure necessary to issue and manage digital assets under their own branding. The platform went live on October 1, 2026, offering a turnkey solution for its approximately 10,000 financial institution clients.
The first deployment on the platform is the Roughrider Coin, a dollar-backed stablecoin issued by the Bank of North Dakota. This stablecoin operates on the Solana blockchain using Token-2022 program extensions and serves as a permissioned, bank-to-bank money movement tool. The pilot program involves more than 90 banks and credit unions in North Dakota.
Fiserv’s model utilizes a white-label approach where the technical heavy lifting—including minting, burning, custody, and reserve asset management—is handled by third-party specialists. VersaBank, an OCC-chartered institution, manages the core issuance mechanics, while Fireblocks provides the secure digital asset infrastructure. This allows client institutions to maintain brand identity and compliance responsibility while leveraging Fiserv’s established payment technology rails.
