Fisherman returns home after 11 days missing at sea in China

A 60-year-old fisherman, identified as Mr. Zhang, has unexpectedly returned home in Zhejiang Province, China, after being missing at sea for 11 days. The incident began on September 3 during a shrimp fishing trip near Zhoushan, when the vessel was forced to return to port early due to approaching storm clouds.

Crew members discovered Mr. Zhang missing during his scheduled work shift, leading to suspicions that he had fallen overboard. Despite search efforts by his family and local authorities, no trace of him was found for over a week. As hope faded, his family began making funeral arrangements.

On September 13, Mr. Zhang arrived at his residence in Luomen village. While he appeared physically healthy with only significant sun exposure noted, his family reported that his mental state remains fragile. The circumstances of his survival and how he managed to return home remain unknown, as he has not yet shared details regarding his whereabouts or how he obtained food and water during his disappearance.
