fiskaly expands into the Czech Republic with new fintech solution

Vienna-based fintech scaleup fiskaly is expanding its operations into the Czech Republic, marking its ninth European market. The company is introducing a new solution called SIGN CZ to assist merchants and point-of-sale system providers in complying with the upcoming EET 2.0 electronic sales reporting requirements.

The EET 2.0 regulation, known as Elektronická evidence tržeb, is scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2027. It will require businesses in the retail, service, and hospitality sectors to electronically record sales transactions made during in-person customer interactions, regardless of whether the payment is made via cash, card, or QR code.

fiskaly develops cloud-based software and programming interfaces for the legally compliant recording and verification of transactions. Technical integration and testing for the SIGN CZ solution are already available for software providers and businesses looking to prepare for the 2027 transition.
