FIT-CISL defends Alba waste workers in Battipaglia

The FIT-CISL union in Salerno has defended workers at the Alba company following service disruptions in waste collection in Battipaglia. Provincial Secretary Diego Corace stated that the issues were not the fault of the employees, but rather resulted from technical and management difficulties linked to a new waste disposal system.

According to the union, the delays were caused by changes in the disposal contractor and the transfer of materials outside the province, which increased processing times. Corace noted that Alba workers demonstrated professionalism by working beyond regular hours to restore normal service and praised the company for its quick reorganization, including the purchase of new equipment to manage the emergency.
