FIT de Cádiz continues 41st edition with international performances
The 41st Ibero-American Theater Festival (FIT) in Cádiz continues its first weekend on Sunday, October 18, featuring a diverse lineup of international and domestic performances. The schedule includes professional networking activities at the Ultramarinos market in the former Tabacalera warehouses, designed to promote the internationalization of performing arts.
Key performances include the Ecuadorian company Círculo de Artes Escénicas presenting ‘La deliciosa historia del xocolate,’ a family-oriented production about the origins of cacao in the Amazon. The circus production ‘Lullaby’ by Proyecto Kavauri, which explores themes of motherhood and work-life balance, has been moved to the Centro Flamenco La Merced due to rain forecasts.
Other highlights include the Spanish premiere of the Argentine production ‘La Diabla (o cómo destruir el mundo)’ by Emiliano Dionisi and Cía Criolla, a black comedy blending music and café concert elements. The day concludes with ‘Itzulera’ by the Basque company Dejabu, a production that integrates theater with real-time cinema to explore identity and displacement.
