Fitbit and Polar launch new fitness smartwatches
Fitbit has released the Versa 4, a fitness-focused smartwatch featuring up to 6 days of battery life and built-in GPS that allows for activity tracking without a smartphone. The device includes over 40 training modes and utilizes the Google Health App for setup. It offers fast charging capabilities, providing one day of use from a 12-minute charge.
Polar has introduced the Vantage M3, designed for multisport athletes. The watch features a 1.28-inch AMOLED display and dual-frequency GPS (L1 and L5 bands). It supports over 150 sport profiles and provides offline maps for Europe and North America, including turn-by-turn navigation. The Vantage M3 offers up to 7 days of battery life in smartwatch mode and includes sensors for ECG, SpO2, skin temperature, and heart rate.
While the Fitbit Versa 4 focuses on streamlined fitness and sleep tracking, the Polar Vantage M3 emphasizes advanced navigation and comprehensive multisport data. The Polar model is more compact than its predecessor, the Vantage V3, utilizing a plastic housing.
